Hi! Here’s everything I spent in July as a childless, middle-aged woman living in Athens, Georgia:

- I paid $750 for my basement apartment which I lovingly call the Lair. This covers rent, utilities and internet.
- Healthcare came to $253. This is anything connected to my doctor, dentist (including dental hygiene needs at home), therapist, or medications (including over-the-counter medications and basic skincare)
- I spent $135 on transportation. That’s gas, a car wash, key fob batteries, and an oil change
- $98 on my cat, Agent Cooper
- My groceries came to $114. It’s too far back for me to remember what I got but these were my shopping trips:
- Walmart $33
- Publix $9
- Ingles $14
- Kroger $12
- Asian Supermarket $29
- Publix $5
- Ingles $12
- Eating/drinking out came to $203. This was drinks and meals out with friends. It was our last full Bubble Cafe crew lunch since my friends and housemates are moving. I bought myself and my friend frose for her birthday. I also got to try the Sonic pickle menu, hahaa.

- $201 for cloud storage, Adobe software, and my Hostinger plan.
- $174 on shopping. This was a big month for second hand clothing. I also got two new pairs of glasses, some rescue rack house plants, and donated to a friend’s GoFundMe.
- $70 on entertainment. This was event parking in Atlanta (very thankful to be given tickets to the Borussia Dortmund v. CF Monterrey match!), a benefit show, and a movie
- $468 on travel. We went to our friends’ place by Tallulah Gorge. Checked out the Cromer covered bridge in Royston. My boyfriend is from Columbus so we had a wonderful weekend there. And I bought a flight to Panama for Thanksgiving!
- Nothing for my phone this month because I pay that bill once a year.
- I currently do not have any paid subscriptions and I no longer have student loans.
That brings my total expenses to $2,466.
I made $2,598. That’s $2,487 from work and $111 from cash back (including my first, and maybe only, blog affiliate payout. Woohoo!).
July was another month of chipping away at my main credit card while still having a full and enjoyable life. I continued to put $100 into my Roth IRA.
